Progress Street Extension to Open Friday, December 21

On Friday afternoon, December 21, the Progress Street extension will be open to traffic. This allows traffic to flow on Progress Street from Cherokee Drive to Givens Lane.

Construction continues on Givens Lane after Christmas on phase four. There will be no thru traffic on Givens Lane between Whipple and Northside Drives. Traffic will be impacted, but homes will still be accessible.

No. Phase 5 may cause some changes, but we work with BT on all road closures and detours.

What is the timeline for Phase 4? When do you anticipate that it will be completed?

Will the trees be re-planted where the pine trees were removed from Givens Lane?

Jerald,

Phase 4 should be finished in June. The pine trees will not be replaced.

seems to me it would be nice to have a road connecting the 301 and 401 part of the blacksburg estates.

Since that is private property, it would be up to the owner to provide that connecting road.
